I was born and raised on Vancouver Island and have lived in the beautiful Comox Valley since I was 2. I’m a pisces, and yes I am the classic emotional, sensitive type. This also means I care deeply about your photoshoot experience, not just the final images we create. This raw nature of mine was criticised so much throughout my life, but is very much a part of the artist in me, and a piece I’ve come to love and value as an adult. Outside of photography I love walking, hiking and exploring our beautiful island. I love camping, animals, the colour green, reading, yoga, body movement of all types and learning.

I’ve had a knack for photography since I was a teenager when my mom bought me my first point and shoot camera. I’ve always been inspired by the beauty in nature we are so lucky to be surrounded by here, and started by trying to capture it everywhere I went. I got inspired to seriously pursue it, and try out portraits, after a few years of modelling myself for some local photographers. Being in front of the lense was such a vulnerable, exhilarating and empowering experience for me and I absolutely love sharing that same experience with my clients. I feel that everyone has something beautiful inside them that they want to share with the world. My job as a photographer is to help you express this with my artist eye and with my skills with a camera.

“Philocalist (n): a lover of beauty;
Someone who finds and appreciates beauty in all things”

I absolutely adore children and animals so of course they are some of my favourites to photograph. Family connections, love stories, empowerment or boudoir sessions, lifestyle and documentary are also my strengths. I consider my style of shooting to be very laid back and fun. I love taking my time at a shoot, so we can chat and get to know each other as we work. I prefer to capture real, organic images with connection and emotion and never force anything. I want my images to be real life and save true memories for you to look back on.

On set you will find me running around with your kids, talking to your dogs in baby voices, laying flat on my belly in the dirt, dipping my butt in the water and falling off of logs and rocks to get those magic shots. I can be quite silly at times but I try to avoid anything fake or awkward for my clients and always work with your personalities and comfort levels.

Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me! Please feel free to connect at any time even if you are not quite ready for a session but just want to say hi, ask a few questions and see if we’d be a good fit to bring your vision to life!
